We’re very excited to be releasing the wonderful new album from saxophonist Mike Fletcher, Vuelta , featuring his trio with bassist Olie Brice and legendary US drummer Jeff Williams, which is in stores today.

The album title ‘Vuelta’ – Spanish for ‘return’ – reflects Mike’s close ties with Andalucía. The recording explores themes of experience and emotion – from the atmospheric opening track, Aire (‘air’), composed by the sea in Spain, which conjures images of light, freedom and space; to the closing work, Savour, a meditation on the re-discovery of a treasured personal experience.
Mike is currently touring Europe with the trio, as part of his ECHO tour, and performs in Birmingham this coming Friday (October 30th), in a double bill with the Jeff Williams Sextet.
